The city had “nothing to do with it” because the “non profit” HBT Inc refuses to disclose what it does with the money that is brought in. Ask the BHT Inc “ Where does the money go? Who has received grants and what was done with the grant? Why won’t you share the information with the people that are asking?” The city has always supported the BHT, but BHT has never supported the city, only the BHT Inc. The trail stops there.

Any school who plans an outdoor graduation in May is being unfair to students and parents and friends. Ga. in May is hot!! If you must, make it 30 minutes or less.

Re; Students background for college will also look into all schools student has went to, records and if that school had good background. If the child has sat home and let mom and dad pay for everything instead of going out and

The City of McDonough's budget is in the red, and yet they keep an overpaid City Attorney who can't even give good advice on Georgia law.

Monta Brown runs the City of McDonough like he ran his business...right into the ground. He voted in a budget which earmarked $25,000 for employee raises, and then voted weeks later to give $97,000 in raises. So where is the extra money coming from...and why can't Monta do simple math?

A former Sheriff's Deputy for Fulton County testified that the locks on the jail were broken and inmates could wander around at night, hurt guards and other inmates and some had escaped. She was fired. She sued. The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals decided that this was not speech protected by the First Amendment. So you think your grousing on the vent about nepotism and cronyism, even if it were true, is going to buy you a new boat, car, and bankrupt the sheriff? Please. Think again. She was subpoenaed and had to talk and she didn't survive. You won't either.

Please Hampton residents do not allow Arley Lowe to win the election. He has hurt our city in many ways. He is arrogant and uncaring of the elderly and he wants everything his way. Re; The vent about the electricity from the EMC's, I hear people in Hampton are complaining about their electricity rates but they are about 20% cheaper than Georgia Power. Hampton is probably the lowest rate in the area.

There is a public hearing of the Board of Elections on Thursday regarding Monta Brown's eligibility for this next election. Someone has filed papers challenging his eligibility due to his owing back taxes from Bistro 41. Does anyone know what time the meeting is?

I am sure drugs are in all Henry County Schools. I know Stockbridge Middle has drug dogs there every other day. They say Stockbridge High is lowest school on list. I am not sure but Ola has been a great school. No complaints have been filed to police so it is probably rumors from jealous people.

So what if the cops speed to the quick trip. Maybe he had to take a leak after humping calls all day, and wanted to make a pit stop real quick while there was a lull in the work. Besides, even though I see officers speeding sometimes too, they are specially trained drivers who get recurring driving training every year. If you'll think logically for a minute, the 40 or so cops in Henry County driving at any given time of day, drive around for 40+ hours a week, they actually have very few accidents compared to everybody else. If they violate traffic laws and hit something, they pay the price too. If I ever call 911, they better speed!
So, let me get this straight. The very ones who enforce the law, or decide not to, are not obligated to live by the law? AARP has classes every year also, is it ok for seniors to speed everywhere they go? Logically, the ones who enforce the law should be leading by example.
